Community Guidelines (Zero‑Tolerance Policy)
Our mission is to help people discover great coffee and share useful, respectful experiences. To keep RTB welcoming for everyone, we enforce the following zero‑tolerance rules for objectionable content and abusive behavior.
A. Core Principles
- Be respectful. Disagree on taste, never on dignity. No harassment or personal attacks.
- Stay helpful. Share honest, firsthand experiences and brewing details that help others learn.
- Protect privacy. Do not post personal data (yours or others’) without consent.
- Keep it coffee‑focused. Off‑topic or low‑effort spam will be removed.
B. Prohibited Content & Behavior (Examples)
Absolutely not allowed and subject to removal and account action:
- Hate, harassment, or threats targeting protected characteristics or any individual/group; slurs, dehumanization, or incitement.
- Sexual or pornographic content, sexualization of minors, or grooming.
- Graphic violence or encouragement of harm to self or others.
- Illegal activity (e.g., selling/soliciting illegal goods, instructions to commit crimes).
- Doxxing/Privacy violations (sharing personal addresses, emails, financials, IDs, private messages without consent).
- IP infringement (posting copyrighted material you don’t own rights to; counterfeit goods). Use only content you created or have permission to share.
- Impersonation & deception (posing as another person, brand, or roaster; astroturfing; undisclosed paid/affiliated promos).
- Spam & scams (mass‑posting, link farming, phishing, referral/discount code spam, misleading claims).
- Malware/Exploits (malicious links, code, or attempts to disrupt the App).
C. Coffee‑Specific Guidance
- When posting bag photos, ensure the image is clear, not misleading, and does not include private data (e.g., shipping labels with addresses).
- If you share tasting notes & brew parameters, be accurate and avoid plagiarism; credit sources for recipes/inspiration.
- Respect roasters: fair criticism is welcome; abusive pile‑ons are not.
D. Reporting, Blocking, and Moderation
- Use Report/Flag on any post, comment, or profile that violates these rules. Choose a category and add details if helpful.
- Use Block to prevent another user from interacting with you and to hide their content from your experience.
- RTB aims to review reports within 24 hours and may: hide or remove content, restrict features, issue warnings, or suspend/ban accounts.
- Severe or repeated violations can result in immediate removal and permanent bans. We may notify relevant authorities where required by law.
E. Appeals & Mistakes
If you believe we made a moderation mistake, contact us through Contact Support in‑app. Provide links/screenshots and a short explanation. We’ll review and respond.
F. Transparency
We may publish anonymized enforcement stats (e.g., number of removals) to improve community trust.
G. Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines as RTB evolves. Material changes will be communicated in‑app. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
These Community Guidelines apply to all users of the RTB mobile application and website.
